Drifting Away From Church

DRIFTING AWAY
Hebrews 2:1 (NKJV)

“Drifting Away from Church”
Heb. 10:23-25 (NKJV

Attending a church should be a priority in a Christian’s life.

1). Jesus (Lk. 4:16), “So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.”

2). Apostles (Acts. 3:1), “Now Peter and John went up together to the temple…”

3). Early church (Acts 2:42), “And they continued steadfastly in the apostle’s doctrine…” (Acts 2:46), “So continuing daily with one accord in the temple…”

What should I do to not “Drifting Away” from Church and attending services regularly?

1. We have to be honest about how often we attend.

Why is Church so important and why should I be here regularly?

  • Inspired
  • Community
  • Accountability
  • Grow spiritually
  • Place to serve others and beyond

2. We have to be honest about what is the real problem.

The Real Problem may be:

  1. You’ve moved away from God, (and He is distant)!
  2. You’ve become too busy in life, (and you’re swallowed up by its fast pace)
  3. You’ve believed the lie of the enemy, (that it’s no big deal)!

3. We have to be honest about how to fix it.

  1. Privilege
  2. Command
  3. Needed
