CONFRONT

“WAGE THE GOOD WARFARE” (SPIRITUAL WARFARE)
1 Timothy 1:18 (NKJV)
“CONFRONT”

According to Psychology Today some reasons why we may not like “confrontations” are:

  • Fear of loss (the other person will leave)
  • Fear of causing pain (the other person is too fragile to be confronted)
  • Fear of strain (the mental/emotional/physical strain is too much)
  • Fear of failure (what if it doesn’t work and even backfires)?

How do we confront the enemy that we might wage the good warfare spiritually?

1.  Balance (Eccl. 3:1) (NKJV) “To everything there is a season” (NIV), “There is a time for everything

When it comes to spiritual warfare and confronting the enemy, you must:

  • Distinguish what’s happening to you (flesh, world, enemy)
  • Determine what’s the next step (if it’s from the flesh: discipline it; if it’s from the world: run from it; if it’s from the enemy: make your stand)

2. Knowledge (2 Cor. 2:11), lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices

  • Satan is an “Adversary
  • Satan has an “Agenda
  • Satan has “Avenues

3. Resistance (James 4:7Resist the devil and he will flee from you

How do you resist him?

  • Yielded life
  • Draw near to Him
  • Humble myself
