The Way Back Home – God’s Blame

THE WAY BACK HOME
“God’s Blame”
Ruth 1:13,20-21
13 “No, my daughters. It is more bitter for me than for you, because the Lord’s hand has turned against me! 20 “Don’t call me Naomi,” she told them. “Call me Mara, because the Almighty has made my life very bitter. 21 I went away full, but the Lord has brought me back empty. Why call me Naomi? The Lord has afflicted[d] me; the Almighty has brought misfortune upon me.”

If we’re going to make our way back to God, what must we first understand about “blame”, especially towards God?

I. Life’s Havoc
To understand why God works the way He does, you must understand 4 things:

  • Sin –  “Therefore, just through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all have sinned.” Romans 5:12
  • Choice
  • Laws
  • Holiness

II. God’s Heart

III. Our Healing
